- Puppy sit a GDB puppy for 1-2 week-ends
- Home visit by a Guide Dog Leader
- Recommendation of the Guide Dog Leader
- Apply for a puppy to raise from GBD from GDB
- Pick-up your puppy from GBD in San Rafael
- Puppies may be as young as 8 weeks but may be older
- Attend weekly meeting until puppy is 5 months of asge
- Attend 2 meetings/month after puppy is 5 months of age
- Puppies are kept in raisers homes for 12-14 months and then returned to GDB for formal training as a Guide Dog
- Occasional training activity on a week-end day
