Rey Godoy Oak Town 4-H Club Meeting Monday, October 10, 6:30pm @ Dimond Recreation Center
Fall Costume Fashion Show: Dress up in your favorite costume for a festive costume fashion show at the October Oak Town 4-H Club Meeting. The officers will be MC'ing the show and small prizes will be given to participants. Come in costume and join in the festivities! T-Shirt Sale: A small number of Oak Town 4-H T-Shirts will be available at the October Oak Town 4-H club meeting for purchase for $10. There are various sizes but only a limited supply. Informal "Parent Info Session": New family parents with questions are invited to stop by Dimond Recreation Center before the 6:30 pm meeting start time. From 6-6:30 someone will be available to answer any questions you may have about the club or 4-H. This is not a formal meeting but just a chance to connect and get questions answered. Today we had our first Gardening project meeting. We figured out what to plant for the winter. We seeded paper towel squares with carrot, beet, radish, lettuce, kale and spinach seeds and planted them. When we planted them we found lots of worms. We picked cherry tomatoes and pumpkins. We won $108 from the Fair from our project group entries, mainly for window boxes and wine barrel gardens. We are planning on using the award money for awards at Garden Field Day this spring.
