Oak Town 4-H Member Opportunities to Show YOUR Work!

There are several Alameda County 4-H Events coming up that include a chance for you to show your work and possibly win awards! Do you like to present what you know? Bake cookies? Photograph food? shop at thrift stores? Make stuffed animals? Create costumes? There is likely a competition just for YOU!
Presentation Day- Virtual 3/1/26, In-Person 3/7/26: speeches, illustrated talks, interpretive readings, job interviews and more. Check out the Presentation Manual and the Interview Contest manual for more info.

Food Exploration Field Day- 4-19-26 2pm in Hayward- Cookies, snacks/appetizers, decorated food and food-related photographs.

Food Arts Project Report

The Food Arts Project met for our first meeting in late January. We worked together on making a charcuterie board and learned some new things including a banana palm tree, an apple swan and salami roses. Our charcuterie board was full of cheese, pickles, fruit, crackers and more. If you are 12 and older and want to join our project, our next meeting is Sunday, February 22 at 2pm and we will be making food mosaics.
